Since 2013

Good Life Church officially launched weekly services on January 13th, 2013 at Tara Elementary School in Bradenton, FL and continues to develop into a vibrant and growing community of believers committed to the mission of making disciples that love enough to share the Good News of Jesus and our lives as well. The name “Good Life” derives from our founding verse, 1 Thessalonians 2:8 and reaffrims our commitment to share Good News and Life.

Good Life Church is affiliated with and partners with NAMB  to assess, train, coach and support church planters throughout the United States and Canada.

We believe that the core of the Good News of Jesus is that God Loves you. It is this love, proven throughout history, exemplified on the cross and alive through the resurrection of Jesus that has the potential to change lives, families, communities and the world. Love Changes Everything! That is the message that is the basis of our ministry and the hope of our lives.

We gather weekly at Tara Elementary every Sunday at 9:30am and 11:00am. Feel free to come early and spend time getting to know one another in our connection area where we provide fresh coffee and light breakfast snacks. We have children’s ministry available weekly for Newborns-5th grade during the services but your children are always welcomed in the worship service if you prefer they stay with you.

Tara Elementary is also our strategic partner throughout the week. Good Life is comitted to invest in the lives of the students and families of Tara by meeting practical needs as well as partnering with staff and administration to improve the mission of the school. We serve weekly through a mentoring/tutoring program for the students called Tara Tutoring.

We look forward to meeting you at a weekly worship service or serving with you in our Tara community throughout the week.

What Drives Us

Our Core Values

Simplicity | We value simplicity in our message and in our ministries for the sake of clarity. In our mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ we strive to ensure that our message is clear for the sake of both understanding and application. (2 Cor. 1:12)

128Map- Are you loving enough to trust the simple Good News for your own life daily and sharing it with others weekly?

Creativity | We value creativity in our communication of the Good News of Jesus. Whether in our gatherings, life groups or in our individual relationships we seek to use the gifts God has uniquely given us to express the Gospel. We value the efforts of every member of the Body of Christ and seek to encourage everyone, regardless of their gifting, to be used for the fulfillment of the mission. (Romans 12:4–9)

128Map- Are you loving enough to both identify and use your strengths and spiritual gifts for service within the local church?

Authenticity | We value the process of sharing life with one another and we recognize that façade only hinders the level of relational intimacy that people can attain. Therefore we value authenticity to promote health within the church. Signs of authenticity are vulnerability, confession, and the sharing of burdens. (James 5:16)

128Map- Are you loving enough to genuinely share your life with others and allowing others to genuinely share life with you?

Accountability | We value sharing life that loves one another enough accountability. We love people enough to not leave them where they are in their pursuit of Jesus. Therefore we value relationships that sharpen and encourage towards love and good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24–25)

128Map- Are you loving enough to be held and hold others accountable in their faith journey and values?

Community | We value being a community of believers who love and specifically and strategically invest time, talents and resources into our local community of Manatee and Sarasota counties. (Luke 19:10)

128Map- Are you loving enough to use your gifts and strengths to serve the 490,000 in our two counties that don’t yet know the Good News?

Multiplicity | We value investing in people who will invest in others. One person, one group, one church will never have the capacity to fulfill the Great Commission. Therefore we must multiply ourselves and our churches to impact the world.  (2 Tim. 2:2)

128Map- Are you loving enough to invest your life into someone who is investing in someone else?
